Less than a 1000 of the BN1's surviving!

I'm inclined to think that more than that have survived. They say 1954 BN1s but use the total production numbers for the model, too, I believe....
 
Well James, I know of 4 deceased, as I have a spare rear shroud off one, a front shroud off another, a rhs door off another, and a lhs front guard off another!, all collected yrs ago for spares! 10684 left!, not including my toy!
 
It always nice to see Healeys get some ink in the civilian press. Heaven knows that as time goes on, fewer and fewer people recognize them, and many don't even know that they're British.

Over the past weekend, three friends and I gave "sports car rides" to people who had won such in a raffle. Four people took turns riding in an original (real!) AC Cobra 289, a 1959 Alfa Romeo Guiletta Spider, an MGB, and my Healey 100. None of them seemed to have any knowledge of what any of these cars were -- so I took the opportunity of having a captive audience to tell them about the Healey 100, beginning with a Cornishman who started a car-making company after the war...
