Leg room in a Mini!

Country flag
Offline
Well my knees and legs are VERY happy tonight! I just installed a pair of seat extension brackets in my Mini. It is incredible to believe that these small brackets can make SUCH a big difference in leg room, etc. How come noone else told me about these??? LOL I have to say it almost feels like I am sitting in the back seat!

I find with the extensions on I can lower the front of the seat by putting the seat bolts in the back and then adjusting the seat forward. makes it more comfortable for the longer rides.

After few weeks of driving my Elf I noticed that the driver seat had a set of extension brackets already, but they weren't actually being used. After setting them up correctly my knees were much happier. I never thought an inch or two would make such a huge difference. Made shifting easier as well because 2nd and 3rd weren't between the seats anymore.

How did you determine the correct setup? There are so many holes I don't know which ones to use. The only thing that I don't care for about the extenders is that they are plated.....nothing a quick visit with some Krylon won't fix. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

i have a little thing that raises the front of the seat on my Sky, but not on the mayfair...there is plenty of room for me to stretch my legs right out in both mini's
