LED Lights on Roll Bar for safety-more pics added

I got this light from Signal Dynamics in Florida for $24.95 and it works great! It was foggy tonight and I had it out and you can really see this thing with the running lights and especially when you hit the brakes. Simple three wire hook up and no draw to speak of so all lights stay evenly lit.

Installation from rear flat against bar:

From top side view. I'll seal this off nicely with some black vinyl body molding.

Daylight mounting picture to follow later today.

Re: LED Lights on Roll Bar for safety

bought my LED version off of ebay for about $20. I used black silicone to mount it directly to the metal of the rollbar (underneath the horizontal portion -of course).

Re: LED Lights on Roll Bar for safety

Basically my installation was done as follows:

There is a 1/4" recessed hole on each end of the light for mounting. The three (3) wire harness comes out dead center of the light in a sealed circle about 1/2" in diameter. I simply drilled the appropriate holes to match and screwed it to the back of the horizontal bar after running the wires down through and out the side of the bar.

The wiring harness runs back the left side of the car, under the carpeting to the taillamps, which makes it easy to splice and solder in.

Black is ground, red is running (or parking) lamps and green/blue is brake lights.
