Had installed a new old stock choke cable the other day.

Guess what, it does not need a lock. it is friction lock. It will stay in any position you put it and it was even lubed by me before I put it in.

Heck my 3 year old Bugeye did not even do that as I remember. Or maybe I have forgotten.

My home-made "conversion" cable is so stiff it WON'T turn to lock. Just another of those small annoyances to be dealt with once all the "big" things are handled.
