Got a box 100 of medical gloves and some heavy outdoor work gloves. Between the two, I keep my hands clean and undamaged when useing a BFH or the wire wheel or what ever.

Well, they keep my hands clean but not undamaged...& I go through them like toilet paper!

I use nitrile gloves myself. They are more resistant to tears and various automotive chemicals. Not much more expensive then latex.

I find the nitrile/latex gloves from Harbor Freight to be the most durable.

yes, nitrile is great. I get them here at work, for nothin, but they are better for your hands latex can break down, and they make your hands sweat more.

This box was given to my by my surgen when he found out what I was doing, hehe.

Was that to encourage you to keep going, so he'll be able to buy another boat when you have to come back in? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

without any knuckles missing,
how do you prove you actually
been doing something to the
disbelievers other than drinking
beer? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif ....zimmy

You mean you don't have a bottle of dirty oil close by to smear all over yourself when you've finished?

The wife will never believe that you were in the garage.

Heck my wife comes out and check progress. Mostly I get a slow down, this is supose to be a long term project.

I get the same speech Jack. I don't think they understand. But let it come to remodeling the kitchen and it can't be done fast enough...lol. To each their own. Actually my wife is very supportive of the who thing. She's not helping as much on this one as the Firebird I restored when we were younger and much poorer. Of course I was in the Navy then so when I was in port we wanted to be together as much as possible. Like I said...young

Wife is not able to help, but gives me all the support I need. Good wife of 47 years. A real keeper.

actually for me the last two weekends I've been wrenching on the ride, and I've not had one beer. I keep telling myself, that if I get too tipsy, coombined with the fact that have about 1/10th of a clue as to what I'm doing then I'll just muck it all up. so, so far no drinky.

but it is funny, because I wear the gloves, and still yet everyother part of my arms, face, clothes are all dirty.
