In a word: Yes! Of course, if there's any pitting or scoring in the bore, it's time for a new cylinder (or a resleeve if it's a particularly rare cylinder, which I don't think is the case on a TR6).

Clean the area with a degreaser so there are no traces of any fluids around the cylinder. Take it for a long drive around town where you will be using the clutch often. Might be a good idea to take a cell phone. Inspect the cylinder for leaks when you get home.
