Leaking Master Cylinder Reservoir

My master cylinder reservoir keeps oozing brake fluid from beneath the cap. I haven't driven the car in several days, and it still appears as a visible seepage from underneath the cap. I went so far as to change the whole thing with a new reservoir and still this happens. What gives. I fear that if I tighten the cap any more, I will rupture something. Perhaps I am tightening it too much. The level is normal, the fluid is clean, standard ole Castrol paint remover fluid. Has anyone experienced this before. Does this thing build up pressure while I sleep? The slave cylinder reservoir never leaks. Everything is new! Including the darn paint beneath it......

Is the seal OK? Did you get the stupid thing from Victoria British? My first MC was bad, so we ordered another one, which promptly started leaking out of the cracked casing, so we got them to overnight us another one, which is leaking again... right onto the brand new paint job. Good thing I don't own a gun...

I think the re-bore and sleeve works very well and is less costly than a new master. I have not read any complaints about the Apple White Hydraulics rebuild....I think there is another company that does the same thing and I have not read anything about the type of rebuilds they do. This does not address the leak between the reservoir and the seal at the MC. Seems that a good washer/seal is the culprit there.
