Leaker?

I'm not sure how to fix this one. When my '74 TR6 warms up, I get a drip coming from a pipe (I think its called the manifold pipe?) where its tighted into the water pump.

I was able to tighten the nut at the back (a little bit) but I can't get at the other nut (closes to the front of the car). Do I need a special wrench (shorty)? Do I need to take the water pump off?

Hopefully the photos attach..

The good news is the fitting should be stainless steel. The bad news is the water pump housing is cast iron and yours looks quite corroded. It is totally accessible from the side, just may have to use a shorty box wrench or crow's foot. First loosen the part you just tightened a bit then tighten the fitting into the housing first, then re-tighten the outer fitting . May need some liquid teflon on the fitting into the housing, this of course will require draining the coolant first.

I concur, take the fitting out, teflon tape and reinstall, if you try to keep tighening it you might cause it to leak even more
