Leak??????????

I have a leak, at the clutch master cylinder fill cap. The cap has no gasket, the catalogs for a 1974 show no gasket, but just sitting in the garage the cap leaks at the threads. Any ideas, and I have already bled the system?

Make sure the top of the MC is smooth and clean. Go to Auto place and get an thin o ring or a gasket that will fit on the cap.

This is one of those times when it's nice to have a sheet of gasket material around. You can cut out your own gaskets, whatever shape or application you need. Doesn't matter if there never was one there originally--there probably should have been! So, make one! Re-engineering can be lots of fun.....
