Last weekend I attended the Le Mans Classic with the French Healey Club. There was also a large turnout from the Dutch and UK Clubs resulting in about 200 Healeys being present.

In fact the Healeys were just a minor side show to this amazing event. If you get the chance - you must go, unfortunately its only held every two years.

I've posted photos on the 100-Six Web Site. These include pages for Club Healeys, Racing Healeys and Other Marques.

you can view them at

Very nice. Isn't it a great thing that so many folks have such a pasion for old iron.

Excellent pictures!
I am wickedly jealous!

There are many places I want to still go, including, Goodwood, The Isle of Man TT, Bonneville (and the Reno Air Races), but LeMans tops my list.

I have been to vintage events at Lime Rock and Watkins Glen many times: these are sort of a "teaser".

And I was lucky enough to run in the ~Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix~ just last week ,which was a hoot.

But LeMans is my ultimate goal.

Derek, very nice pictures.
I see that DD300 has changed owner, do you know the price ? and do you know the asking price for the Dutch 100 S.

Super photo's Derek! Really enjoyed viewing them. Do I have your permission to include in our local clubs newsletter?
Thanks in advance.

Gossip only -- DD was over 100,000 pounds but not sure exactly.

The 100S did not sell - I think it reached about 260,000 euros. (estimate was optimistic at 280,000-320,000)

Yes please go ahead and use the photos that would be great.

Wow that would have been great driving that. You missed a fantastic event - it was my first time but I'll be back. I understand that the organisation was much better than the previous one.

I'd love that Ruddspeed set up but its a bit pricey! That was the car with the disc wheels wasn't it?
