I'm trying to finish assembling a ribcase gear box and in need of a laygear thrust washer .030-.031. Moss part number 461-935. Moss does not have any and there has no delivery date for more. VB doesn't even offer them. If anyone has any they can put a set of calipers to and can come close, please let me know.

Thanks!

Got one Gerard but NOOO idea where it is!!! Of course that means I haven't measured it either! Better go with Mike.

Just back from the drivers school at Roebling Road. Had 40 cars. Only one very nice Spridget. It ran flawlessly all weekend and the driver got his novice permit school requirements signed off. Instructed a Datsun 240Z, Porsche 944 and Honda Prelude. All SCCA regional ITS class. Cold, Windy but dry.

The 0.030-0.031" thick thrust washers are fairly rare, but I'll look tonight and see if I have any. Have lots of the 0.020"ish range.

Mike

PS: I'm chasing the centerline measurements from the mainshaft to the layshaft. Anyone got a specification on this measurement?

Hi Mike,

Don't spend a lot of time at this point looking for one. I believe I have found a source in the UK though one of my favorite Morris Minor suppliers. I have to order some other parts from them anyway. If it turns out they don't have one, I'll be in touch.

Thanks!

Looked through the parts drawer last night. Measured 41 laygear thrust washers on the first gear end. 0.120" to 0.126". Most in the lower end of range. Only one at 0.126", none up at the 0.130" range. Sorry. Maybe some more hiding in other places, but best bet might be your source in the UK.

Mike
