Yesterday I went and picked up the TR8 that was listed on the Hartford Ct craigslist, and mentioned here in a previous post. Thanks to whoever scouted it out and put it on the board. I couldn't be happier with the car. It is a real clean car by anyones standards, even more so considering it's from New England. The PO had mixed feelings about seeing it go, but they were happy to see it go to someone who knows and loves TR8s. The car generated about a dozen phone calls before and after mine. I was the only one who owned TR8s, had a trailer, and had cash in hand. The car was used as a weekend fun vehicle by the owner and his wife. Kids came along and it got used less and less. Without a reliable nearby mechanic to work on the car, it eventualy came to reside full time in the garage after the Summer of 2000. If he had only known about Woody's shop, I suspect the car would not have been put up for sale. I'll clean it up and sort it out over the next couple of months and probably sell it in the Spring. I don't have much use for a bone stock survivor TR8, and that is how this one should stay. Anyway, I used some of the cash I was stashing away to build a turbocharged 4 liter for my green car.
