Late night Benz [no pics]

Out walking to pick up a late supper. We live steps from restaurants (good and bad) and are just two houses from a main street.

Crossing the street, a dark green late 60's vintage Benz (W114 - 1968-76) drove by with a young (millennial) couple driving. Lovely car in a lovely colour - but mostly just really cool to see, 1. Car being driven as it ought, 2. Younger couple driving (not sure if you find yourself in a mall with your wife but a large number of fashion store posters with models posing in and on classic cars) 3. a car that isn't yet worth enough to really be restored - so this was probably original and, 4. Just the right time of night to see such a car drive by (an entirely different kind of driving than a convertible)

Just really nice.

W114?

Those were pretty good cars! (Until the infamous Daimler/Chrysler merger ...)
