I followed a 180 Gray Mercedes 180 today.
Thought of Tom.I know where it's parked,so may
have to go back & talk to the owner.
Also saw a super clean '61 Chevy 4 door
in our neighborhood,Aqua Blue color.

What - what????

A grey late '50s M-B 180 ponton?

Take a look at a fellow ponton club member's 180 - on her drive from Colombia to Tierra del Fuego. And last year she drove it from Colombia to Alaska.

Got asked the other day if I'd do valve seals on a 62 MB. Not sure... I don't know how those engines are set up. I'd love to learn though. It may be the first customer work through "Stray Cat Vintage & Customs"

Ben - you can get the complete workshop manuals for the early '60s passenger cars, on two CDs.

Just email Tom Hanson at the M-B Classic Center in California. I think the set is about $40.

Don't know if it was the same model, but the year is right, as my wife worked with a lady that had one with over 500,000 miles on it and continuously drove it everyday. It was a diesel and was in great shape. Her husband bought it new and used it for many years before the wife took it over. Great car. PJ
