replacing the finishers on my doors and do not know how the aluminum shims are placed. are they betwwn the latch and finisher or on the back side of the finisher nest to the door post. and, i have one thick spacer/shim and two thinner ones. i cant remember the order i removed them in! thanks for your help!

There are shims between the finisher and the B pillar. You may also use some thin ones between the finisher and latch receiver, although I have never needed one there.

since the finisher has a "pocket" on the back side, is the shim used to provide a solid back between the finisher and the b pillar?

thank you healey blue!
