so, just fixin' to head out to the movies (Quantum of Solace - I miss Sean)

Anyway, the carbon monoxide detector goes off and yes, a 911 call ensues. No danger but the exhaust fumes from Ms. Triss had migrated into the house. Here's what happened, in the PM I went out, started her up (to set idle & check the H20 temp gauge.) ran her for about 20 minutes with the garage door wide open - and the exhaust is less than a foot from the door. Shut her down, left the door open for a bit still, closed it and went in the house. About 4 1/2 hours later the alarm goes off, apparently the fumes had accumulated in the garage and seeped into the house.

So, why am I telling you?

1. Beware of Carbon Monoxide even if you think you're being safe.
2. Anyone use an exhaust hose? If so, what?
3. My wife thinks I'm trying to get rid of her for the insurance money (If you knew how little we were insured for, you'd know that was funny not macabre) - anyway, I might still have to get jewelery

have a good day all!

Go for the jewelry JP. It's the quick and easy way out. Also, thanks for the reminder. That was a mistake any of us could make and probably have.

Insurance money, ha reminds me I got a call from a telemarketer trying to sell me life insurance. Told the poor guy that I did not need/want more. He got rather insistent that I did need more. I finally got rid of him by telling him if I bought more life insurance that would constitute motive. He was laughing so I when I hung up.

Yep, no fun having the fire dept show up at the house, ADT put a smoke sensor too close to the bathroom door, and my steamy showers had them show up at my door twice, before I had ADT move the smoke sensor.
