Who's going?
I see from the info that it can be run as a true TSD rallye if one chooses or simply as a great tour/drive in the corner of these picturesque states.

Well, I'm new to Jags, and new to the Jaguar club scene. I am not new to things automotive, but have spent the last 20+ years doing mostly extreme 4x4 stuff.

So, in response to your questions:

I don't know what the Green Goddess is/was. However, I can guess that she may have been/may be, something like an MK...?

In terms of the Daimler situation... do you speak of the Jag derivative or of the MercBenz line?

The clubs I'm a member of, Jag ownership is not a requirement for membership.
However, I can imagine, from past experience in clubs in general, the political BS that might keep enthusiasts out of a club simply due to lack of ownership.

and yes, Purgatory Chasm is a very looong hole/crack in the ground.

David- Jag took over British Daimler in 1960-61 and continued the SP250 thru 1964. Sir Lyons thought the SP to be one of the ugliest cars he'd ever seen. Compared to his XKE, he might have been right.
