OK, kids...if you're anywhere near Summit Point, West Virginia, you are welcome to come and see our last EMRA race of the '05 season.

The event is always a real test for our little Spridget team.
For a story of our valiant (and failed) effort last year, GO HERE (be sure to scroll down)

The date is November 19 and there will be a Time Trial (for street cars) on Nov 20.

Admission is free. Also free refreshments at the end.
I will running the 4-hour twighlight enduro in Sprite #23 (below) with my pal Pete. I'll probably also run #11 Spridget in the Sprint race earlier.

The enduro is "indexed"....we start with 4 hours to go (just before sundown) and faster cars start later (up to a half hour depending on class). The car that finishes the most amount of laps by the end wins (in other words, slower cars like our's have a shot at winning).

More info on www.emraracing.org
Anyway, if you're free, Come on down!

Re: Last 06 race-free admission

Do you mean 2005 season?

Bruce

Are you making the trip south early saturday or going day(s) earlier?? Was thinking of trying the trip since should still be some nice fall colors along with good racing...would catch you on 15 or at Harper's Ferry. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/driving.gif

edit- forget it Nial, just got a "priority" assignment for Saturday. Hope it doesn't rain and you get a class 1st!!!

Oh, I understand those "priority" assignments in life, Dale. I've had too many of those!

I'll be there on Friday night and I'll be flagging on Sunday (and then driving home for work on Monday).

We're trying to set up a Summit Point event in the Spring 06. It'll be posted on the emraracing.org website when we get it finalized.
You are always welcome. Bring your SP-250 and we'll let you lead a pace lap for one of the races.....we *like* interesting pace cars! See below for a photo from our '04 SP event.

Love it!!! So reminds me of my first seeing an Avanti leading a pace lap at Lake Garnett KS SCCA National over the '61 July 4th weekend. Also the first time I saw Duncan Black racing his SP250...within a month I sold my Alfa 1300 and bought my first Dart. Hard to accept it's been 44 years. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif
