Largest tire size I can put on my 89 xj40

What's the largest tire size I can put on my xj40 from 1989.
I just bought some new rims off a 2000 xj8, and they need
tires. What is the largest tire size I can put on the rims,
and still not have the tires rub against the car when I turn?

careful there too, it can affect handling, braking, and the speedometer.

However if you mean width, as opposed to height, then 60 width tires should work fine.
