TR4/4A Large gauge installation mishap

Hi all,
So I took my large gauges out ages ago and only now re-installing. i seem to have lost to bracket gismo's that go on the long threaded bolts on the back of the gauge and hold against the dash.
I actually cant remember what they look like!!!
Has anyone got a pic and/or know where I can get them? Probably if I can get them...
Duh...

I fabricated one out of some hobby tubing from Ace hardware. Not perfect but effective. They are rare to find online. Saw some from a supplier in the UK.

I have seen it referred to as a shovel bracket.

The nuts are special. I believe a 2BA knurled nut available from Moss.

Regards,
Rich

I get my BSF hardware from British Tools and Fasteners,

Google BSF Fasteners and you will find others. The original nuts are large knurled ones, more convenient but not necessary.

Back when I was restoring my TR4A, I lost those U-brackets also. I just made new ones from steel strips, I think about 1/2" or 3/4" wide and 1/16" thick. Of course, having invested the time and effort into making the new pieces, I eventually found the originals. Maybe the same strategy will work for you.

These thing interchange over all years with minor mods I usually misplace the nuts, so have taken to
assembling the gage ,brackets & nuts together and then misplacing the assembly(only to be found when NOT needed)
