Anyone familiar with the Irish traditional song, The Wild Rover? I keep coming up with parodies for it. So, a British Car related one...

I drove a Land Rover for many's the year,
And I spent all me money on pistons and gears.
And now I've determined it needs a rebore,
And I never shall drive my Land Rover no more.

Refrain...
And it's no, nay, never,
No nay never, no more
Will I drive my land Rover,
No never, no more!

I went to a workshop I've been to a lot,
And I told the mechanic my drive train was shot.
I asked him to fix it, he answered me "Nay,
Such a junk heap as yours, you should tow it away!"

Refrain...

Then I pulled from my pocket a great wad of cash,
And the mechanic's features turned whiter than ash.
He said, "We have spare parts, more than anyone,
But God himself couldn't make that junker run!"

Refrain...

So I'll go to the junk yard all full of despair,
And I'll tell them to trash the thing, right then and there.
I'll sign all the papers and close all the doors,
And I never shall drive my Land Rover no more!

And it's no, nay, never,
No nay never, no more
Will I drive my Land Rover,
No never, no more!

Very clever. Knowing this crowd the way I do, I bet you've started something here...
