I just opened a bottle of Heavens Door Double Barrel. If you like bourbons, this is good stuff. There are 2 other versions (i.e., not Double Barrel). My wife even likes it. She hasn't been a straight bourbon drinker since she was first trying to get in .... my good graces. We tried one of the other versions but didn't like it as well. Yes, Zimmerman of Minnesota has something to do with it, but don't hold that against it. It is distilled in Tennessee, Kentucky and Canada, so I don't know if mine is Tenn, Ky, or Canadian (whether to call it bourbon or Tenn whisky). Surely not Canadian Whisky, which I like for removing bugs from my windshield.

Thanks for this - I have been migrating more and more to bourbon as single malt gets more stupidly priced (and as more and more distilleries leave the age of the label) - 'why yes sir, August was a very good month.' :rolleyes2:

EDIT: 100 proof - yikes! :D

Heavens Door not cheap at 50.00 or so per fifth. Dunno what single malt costs.

Lots of good single malts available at Bev Mo or Total Wine $30 or less.
Currently a fan of Speyburn 10 year old.

It's medicinal...

Made just down the road from Abingdon.

Interesting - I always think of Rye Whisky being made in Canada (and also more for mixing than sipping)
