Kudos to Passport Transport

Back in late August I U-Hauled my 100 to WI for restoration and found the journey to be quite tiring. I just purchased a new toy in Denver and decided to have Passport Transport deliver it via their covered service. I called and made the booking last Tuesday, on Wednesday they made contact with the previous owner and on Friday the car was delivered to my home some 800 odd miles away. I have to say I was stunned at the speed with which this all happened. I am very impressed and to cap it all the cost, $1140 is less than it would have cost me to fly to Denver and do a one way u-haul back home, so very happy all around. OK, this one is not a Healey, but thought I would give Passport a shout out in case anyone else needs transport.

I have always used them they are very good.

I used them once, they moved my freshly painted Healey from Tsikuris' shop in Florida up to Ohio. Seems that trip was right around $1200.00 too, but it wasn't in drive on/drive off condition. Passport's premium on transport with extra handling was the far cheaper way to go, compared to getting Paul to make the brakes__and Webers__operable again after its extended stay in his shop(s)!

I probably move ten/twelve (10-12) cars a year, almost exclusively on open carriers; their rates can be 1/3rd to 1/2 of enclosed transport. After nearly a dozen years (Jan 05 to present) I just had the first report of an incident; a motorist ran into the back of the truck's trailer, denting the tailpipe tip on the righthand side. The driver called my client and text'd him pictures as soon as it happened, even though it would be two (2) more days before reaching Santa Barbara. The transport company's insurance was to handle his claim. Considering the tour bus incident in Indigo over the weekend, anything can happen, whether the sun shines on the car in transit or not.

I moved three (3) of our cars to Florida via open carrier when our house was being built/ready to move in.

And then the other two (2):

I used Passport to transport my Healey from LA to the east coast, also an Elan from Ohio. Very professional service.
