"Knock your socks off" cars

Through the years, certain car makers have managed to create cars that just "knock your socks off" and I'm sure we all have our favorites.

I'd nominate two manufacturers that consistently managed to do this: Hispano-Suiza and Delahaye. Both created some of the most beautiful designs ever, and innovative engines to boot. (How about Delahaye producing twin cam engines with 4 valves per cylinder in the 19-teens?)

These two images illustrate what I'm talking about:

What are your nominations for "KYSO" cars?

I've always thought certain Bugatti cars were in that category. The 1938 Atlantic Type 57 coupe is probably my all-time favorite car (at least as far as looks)

the round door Rolls - and Citroen DS & Tatra

Though not in the same category as a lot of your cars... I'd have to say the 58-60 Corvette and the 427 SC Cobra

For me the E type was it:
Timeless, simple, elegant & sexy.

& Always in love from afar!

Franay Bentley is another one that comes to mind right away.

Squire. Never thought I'd ever see one in person.

Pre-war Alfa. Think 8C Monza.

Spent almost an hour looking at one at a local show a few years ago. Truly stunning, a car with real presence.

At the same show there was an unrestored LaSalle Roadster. 1930s. Rough, but so much soul. I bounced between those two cars for a long time.

Here is Triumph's colone off the Alfa. 1934 Dolomite straight 8. Donald Healey was lead the design team. Only 3 were made. image.jpg Definitely one of my favorite British cars

I'll second the Squire. Manufacturer was killed in WWII in an air raid and the car died with him. Also like the Aston Martin DB3S, the C Jag and D Jag and 1950s and some 1960s Ferrari"s and Maserati's.

Ferrari 250 Lusso,in Burgundy -
one of the most beautiful cars/color ever!
