Mrs JP and I have been engaged in gardening and landscaping as we continue to make our new home ours. I think I mentioned that last year was turning the pond back into a pool. This year has been landscaping around the pool. Mrs JP is a big fan of Hydrangeas and so we bought 30. The initial nine were at the nursery but we then ordered the rest. It is getting to the end of the season so even the wholesalers are running out of stock. Thus, after a few weeks of not even knowing if they could fill the order, earlier this week we got a call and they rather apologetically asked if they could substitute 5 gallon pots instead of the 2 gallon shrubs we had intended to purchase - for the same price! (the initial 9 were in 2 gallon pots.)

Well today was the day and I went with a friend (in his truck) to pick up the shrubs. Thought you might enjoy the pic. (My friend figured the truck should be classified as green)

Very nice!

Great work JP! It looks like a lovely place to relax.

A great improvement! But what the heck was that ugly "pond" for? Looks like piles of stones covered with tarps - Maybe no water so kids wouldn't fall in?
It was an actual pond made out of the pool - this pic makes it look better than it was - in part because it had no aeration or fish so was a massive mosquito trap!

Monday. My mother's 94th birthday - she was in the pool today doing laps (she also walked her 5000 steps :rolleyes2: )
The above trophy is for your mom.
