King Pin question

I'm reinstalling my front suspension assembly and have put in the fulcrum pin - however the pin (264-445) keeps binding when I insert it. I am carefully aligning the flat spot on the fulcrum pin but am beginning to wonder whether the pin itself is too large for the hole. Has anyone else had this? (BTW it's part of the VB suspension rebuild kit - I think - though as I write this I seem to recall mashing the pin at least once so it might be Moss)

I suspect the smart thing to do would be to file the pin some and the easy thing would be to drill the king pin - any thoughts?

Are you talking about #19?

yup

I had trouble with one of mine as well. I reamed the kingpin with a drill bit just a smidge. Seemed to help it seat better.

With a file make sure no burs on the pin or in the hole. Tap in with a small hammer.
