Kilmartin Radiator Fan Shroud

I've added a Kilmartin Radiator fan shroud to my BJ8 and was told that to secure the upper portion of the Kilmartin fan shrouds to the original fan shroud that's on the radiator and to drill a couple of holes and attach/secure it with 10-32 screws.

I forgot to ask if the Kilmartin fan shrouds go under the original radiator fan shroud or over the top of it. Has anybody done this job before and can you post a picture or explain how you did it?

Thanks,

I installed my shroud from British Car Specialists under the fan guard. I also added a Texas Cooler. What a difference! Dropped operating temps 20 degrees. I highly recommend these mods.

I got the Kooler installed, radiator modified for 30% more cooling capcity in 2007 and electric fan and now for a "complete shroud". Did you bend the Kilmartins a little bit so they conform to the original radiator shroud? I'm also running a custom AC(it's hot in Texas!!).
Thanks!

They go under the shroud at the top and attach to the upper of the two lower radiator mounting bolts on either side. They're pretty floppy this way unless you fasten them to the upper shroud. I made a hidden strut out of sheet metal that presses them apart and holds them tight against the underside of the upper shroud:

I had to adjust the arc of the shroud for it to fit better. Drilled 2 small holes thru the fan guard and shroud for the screws.
