The Alabama head coach search committee musta been ga-ga over a coach from West Virginia. When Rich Rodriguez turned them down, they chose Saban, a coach who was borned in the next holler over from Rodriguez' homeplace in The Mountain State.

I reckon some of us Mountaineers know a little about coachin' football.
 
I think I would've preferred Rodriquez - at least he was honest during the whole process when Saban was saying "absolutely not interested".
