kids today

Cool kid! Yes and there's more of them around! Many hidden talents imbedded in a lot of these youngsters today just waiting for the opportunity to get out. :encouragement: PJ

It's a question for many of finding their passion. My 23 year old niece has found her's working for a group associated with the Kennedy center and has been designing and stage managing productions for special needs and handicapped children and adults. Loves what she's doing and interacting with them.

Great story, great kid. Mom, too.

On my wedding day back in 1970, my mom helped me replace a slipping clutch in my first MGB... telling me the whole time I'd be late for the wedding. Had a stationary winch tied into the rafters so she was helping push or pull the car as I guided the up-and-down to remove and reinstall the engine/trans.

Took me two and a half hours to do the deed, got to the wedding just fine. :smirk:

Moms who encourage their crazy kids are tops!

It's great to see young kids getting involved with cars. Old Scout's are great little cars, easy to work on and reliable as they come.

"The scope is ambitious: remove the car’s roof and add a soft top" That should take about thirty minutes since the top bolts on. My favorite configuration is with the half top making the scout essentially a tiny pick-up.
