Keep Chrome wire wheels clean

after spending 4 hours cleaning my chrome wire wheels and every spoke, I decided to spread silicone on the inner hub to cover the places where the spokes come throught the hub, not the spline area. I am hoping this will keep the grease inside the hub and not be able to run down the spokes. It should also keep water out of the hub too

I've done the same on my MGA wires...Works pretty good, silicone gets old after awhile and grease comes through as the silicone peals away...but if you keep on it, it will work.

I use the Anti cease stuff with nickel in it, so far I have not had a problem, but then every time I take my wheels off I clean and apply more. I got my TR last september and 3 wheels came off ant the last one, fortunately it was a front would not come off, I had to take it loose from the ball joint to the trunion and take it to someone , it took a week under some prssure and chemicals and he finally got the wheel and hub apart, Never again
