Wife & I went kayaking on Whiskeytown Lake, just West of Redding,CA.
We were invited to attend by the Redding British Sports Car Club,an extremely
active British car club. This is about 3 hours from us.
The weather was incredibly clear,& about 70 degrees,& the kayaks &
all of the gear & tour was provided free, courtesy of the National Park Service!
They also do moonlight tours.
I've never been kayaking before,& as my Wife was in the back, steering,
I had a hard time not wanting to steer.
The next day (Sunday),we drove up to the Shasta dam.where you could
see MT. Shasta from. You could also see Mt. Lassen from Redding.
I met a guy at Whiskeytown who had just bought a MKII Cortina wagon,
& was looking for parts.I also met a guy who saw our MGB GT,& told me that he'd
just bought a '73 GT.Small world.
