Hey Stag,

We will be there. Haven't missed a Gran Prix festival at the Glen since they began. One fun time every year!

Just was there this weekend with the Porsche Club and for our wine club.

You have a looooong drive.

I finally got my time off arranged so now I am getting excited!

If anyone has a spare seat (or Triumph) for the Tour d Marque, lemme know!! :driving:

Ahh, yer just a tad short on a seat with John. There was a day or two where I thought I coulden't go, and you coulda snatched it. But his passenger seat has my name on it now!!! hehehehehehehe.
Hope ya find a ride though. It'd be cool to have a bunch of BCFers in the tour.
Can't wait to meet all of ya.
Do any of you guys know if there's a chance that TS1 will be in the tour, or maybe in the concourse.
My chances to get up to the track are shot, and I'm hoping to get to see that car downtown on friday.

I don't know for sure, but one would think that TS1 LO would be on the Tour, or at least on display downtown.

It will likely be in the paddock throughout the event, and it will be the unofficial pace car for the Classic Motorsports Kastner Cup Race, but that doesn't help you any, unless you can somehow make it to the track on Saturday or Sunday.

It's kinda stinky.... I'm hoping B.S. Levy has his latest book ready this weekend as well. He said last year that plans were to relaese it at this years Vintage at Watkins. But I know how things can go trying to get somthing like that finished at a certian time.
Still I have hight hopes! Maybe I'll spot him downtown...
So now I'm keepin my fingers crossed on both counts....

Ben, there appears to be some confusion about TS1 LO's schedule amongst the organizers. This is all I have been able to find out so far, but I'll probably hear more definite information later:


From Glenda Gephart:

My understanding was that the car [TS1 LO] would be on display on the Court House Lawn during the Festival.


From Marianne Shoemaker:

I had a different understanding, based on long ago conversations… We had prepared a place of honor on the court house lawn right across from the main stage for the TS1 LO. This is where each year’s car of honor is displayed… Our thinking was that it would be on display there all day during the festival and would be referred to during the part of the ceremonies that is for a tribute to Triumph. Participation in the Tour de Marque or any other of the “Rallye” events would preclude that. We had also thought that it would be on display at Thursday’s PrixView Party at the track. But please let me know if we need to make other plans! Oh – the Tour de Marque is now full… we closed registration for that event some time ago, I think.


At any rate, whether on the Tour or on display on the court house lawn, you will be able to see and photograph TS1 LO.

thanks so much! I know right where they're talking about. It's a beautiful spot for getting good pictures. It'd be cool if it were in the rally, but I fully understand with the cars significance that they want it to be on display. I'm just happy I'll get to see it. I hope to get to chat with the owner a bit too, but I'll take what I can get! hehehehe.
