Kas Kastner books

Hi all,

There are two relatively new Kastner books I'm considering getting. I'm wondering if anyone here has both:

"Triumph Preparation Handbook" (covering all models, I think it's a compilation of the various, earlier Competition Prep manuals for specific models, all into one book)

and

"Historical & Technical Guide for Triumph Cars TR3, 4, TR-250, TR-6, Spitfire & GT-6"

I wondering if it's worthwhile to get both, or if the later one builds upon and includes info in the first. Anyone have both books to compare?

Thanks!

The first is a compilation book and has some additional information on cars that have been successful in racing. The second book, which I haven't completed yet, is more his stories while racing. Though it appears to have a little tech included.

I have both and the 2nd is a continuation of the 1st, but with more stories and less tech. I didn't find very much information that I could use (Sptifire owner) but I really did enjoy reading both books; I'm glad I have them.

first one i have. definitely a must have if you're going to modify your triumph. for modifications i also have a downloaded version of david vizards book and the speedpro series book on modifying triumphs (tr4 s). all good.
