yikes...to think I almost gave 2 pints of blood and my 1st child to try and get tickets...I wanted to see what was left of NASCAR before franchising destroys anything that is left of the sport...but after 3 hours of rain delays and watching the dryer trucks race laps......ridiculous team penalties..driver rage attitudes...cautions upon
cautions...shortend race duration due to lack of daylight and a finish "race halted" due to 3 laps remaining after start-up bumper cars....i think the era of NASCAR may already have ended...I didn't miss a thing!

at least my CHIEFS won...I'll take anything even against San Diego MARTY BALLers!!

NASCAR....sport...

in the same sentence? Say it ain't so!

Look on the bright side. Talladega is this week. As hard as NASCAR has tried to they just can't seem to "deredneck" that place. I look foward to it every year. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif

You could've stayed up late (or got up early!) and watched the F1 boys do it in abysmal weather (no "rain delay" there) in Japan and watched a "real" sport!! /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/devilgrin.gif

Some sport when the leader runs out of gas on a yellow, can't keep the pace and is declared a winner hmmm

Mike I think that Lewis has it in the bag.

/bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/iagree.gif It's great how F1 seems to cull the cream of the crop out so consistently. I think we are watching the next Clark, Lauda, Senna, Schumaker, etc. AND he's doing it in his "rookie" year too!!!! /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/thumbsup.gif

His mummy will get him a nice new handbag just for the trophy. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/jester.gif

Old Bernie must be rubbing his hands in glee at the renewed interest Lewis has generated in F1 in the UK.

And to think that I'd almost given NASCAR another
chance.I think that PT Barnum's running the show.
While I was in Daytona Beach last month,I noticed
that you don't see a lot of bumper stickers, decals,
or much of anything NASCAR there.

I'm still a closet NASCAR fan, I keep watching and hoping to see some racing, lose interest after the first few laps and then I tune in at the end to see the outcome! /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/crazyeyes.gif
