K3 Magnette at Simeone Museum - video

Offline
Sweet!!
Thanks Rick, that car sounds great!

The smoking exhaust is the oil that they keep the supercharger primed with...it's made of magnesium and they're worried about loosing it "prematurely".

The engine is in good condition.

This car was "rescued" from a restoration...and was made mechanically sound (as were all of the cars in the collection), avoiding a cosmetic restoration.

It is as it left the factory.

That's The Bee's Knees. Very cool!
The one below was at the Moss Britfest (in NJ) a few months ago.

The K3 is the very stuff of dreams and legends. A fabulous car, with an amazing competition and record breaking history!
In a way it's a shame MG only seriously competed with it for a year or so before concentrating on the Midget.

I've driven an car with a K3 engine. Sadly this was after the supercharger was removed, but still... what a glorious machine!
