My 73 GT

.060
mildly opened head
full Peco
Later HS4's (yeah, with the poppit valves still in place)
Sport coil
Euro spec coil (with 12 miles on it!)
NGKs
Magnacores enroute from Bob Ford

What are the thoughts on another $100 or so for a change over to those filters?
Do you think I will HAVE to change the needles?
Figure I should remove the poppits?

Update, Forgot the 270 cam

Doubt the needles will have to be changed but you'll have to do some adjusting as you're gonna get more air....ergo, more effective...but I don't know that you'll see any increase in power.

Well effciency will be nice as well. I added a eurospec carb today and getting the magnacore leads. I am also looking to quiet various eletrical noise on stereos/scanners and two ways in the car.
Thanks

I was talking with a member of my local club who has the cone filters on his car. I asked him what he did to fit them. I was looking at rebuilding the carbs and topping them off with a pair of K&Ns. He said that he used a AAA needle so that it wouldn't run lean.
