I don't think you are sick, Zimmy. That powder coat chrome looks good. If you don't intend for your car to be a concourse car, why not use a coating that is superior to chrome plating. Unless, of course, you enjoy endless polishing. I don't.
 
Hmmm, don't guess I have ever seen chrome powder coating?
