Hello!

Just bought my dream yesterday..... a 1978 Spitfire! Hope to learn alot on here about keeping my little beauty running well.

I am so ready for warmer, drier weather to show this baby off!

Welcome aboard!

Car looks real good, and you came to the right place. Lots of knowledgable people here that can answer any questions you have.

Good luck with the new ride. :driving:

Schveet, welcome.

Like I've said before, don't be bashful, there are lots of us here that think we know everything that are really good at annoying those that do :jester:

I've had a Spitfire for going on 25 years now, and there are others that put me to shame.

You can also try the Yahoo group called the North American Spitfire Squadron, those guys are hard core.

Welcome to the best forum on the net. You are in the heart of Triumph country. If you haven't already been in touch, may I recommend the Rocky Mountain Triumph Club (RMTC). They should be easy to find on the web and they are a great group and do fun stuff with their Triumphs.

Welcome to the club. Looks like a very nice car, you can get lots of help here. Looks like you going to redo the interior in leather in about a year. Is that a small cow behind the car? I was in your state last year on vacation north of Durango. (Electra Lake) Million Dollar Highway what a ride.

Mallard, you are the 2nd person to ask me if that's a calf...hahaha! It's actually a black cat standing on the trunk, begging for attention  We are in the Elizabeth area, SE of Denver, total equestrian community....you know, country town, dirt roads, only 2 stop lights, and you can drive clear through town in about the time it takes you to send a text message...hahaha. But LOTS of winding open roads!

I learned to drive in a 60's Spitfire when I lived up in the mountains....what a FUN way to learn to drive! I've just drooled over them since and always wanted one....very excited to have my little yellow beauty  I'll check out RMTC since I don't usually see alot of them here....lots of Miata's and newer vehicles, but not alot of Triumphs.

Not sure I'm going to keep the color, but for now, the yellow is kinda growing on me

Interior in leather?? WOOHOO! Something else to budget for!

Oh sure...she gets glory...I get the wrench. Yea we all know who is going to be doing the work on it just to have her speed off as I latch the hood down saying, "That ought to do it!"
