Ever have one of those days? Just saw on EBAY a TR3A sitting in a wrecking yard....just 45 minutes from our place...complete mind you...and not a rust bucket! Price?
$500! ! Called and was headed there tonight...only to find I was 5 minutes late. Photos showed nice looking front fenders and apron. Oh well...next time! Gil NoCal

Gil
I just got in from a long drive with the car. Pictures later.
Paul

TR3 for $500.00 that looked good? Should have bought it on the phone and took a risk. Parts are worth more than that. Break out that credit card.

Same thing happened to my father and I in 1974, concerning a Jaguar 120.
Saw the ad, called, still available, got there and it was sold. Took me another 30 years to get a British car.

Paul your dancing banana adds insult to injury. Not many good $500.00 cars left.

Did not mean to insult anyone, just glad to be home after 9 hrs of driving. It has been a long day. I saw the car the day it was listed and contacted the seller. Weather and my schedule allowed me to get it today. She is not perfect. Crushed hood and boot and wind screen. The fenders have some dents but little rust. One sill, floors and one area at the stone guards will have to be repaired. Other than the missing seats and the rotted vinyl, the car is complete. Let me get the leaves out and I will post some pictures. I do not know what I am going to do with the car yet, but the trip was worth the effort, even for just a parts car.

Paul

Paul I was joking about the insult to injury dancing banana. I just thought it was funny. Looking forward to the pictures.

Paul...Thats fine. You got the car. Hope the project works for you. We have a project that we thought this car might have filled in the missing blanks. Good luck with your project. Gil NoCal

Keith NBD.
Just wanted to make sure that everyone new I was not out to get the car from under someone else.

Gil
After I get done inspecting the car I'll get everyoone some pictures. What do you need for you project? I have lined up a new bonnet and hood for this car. The wheather has been so bad it is still on the trailer at the farm. If I have time I hope to take it to the DMV on Friday and give it a good inspection and get pictures.

Tom
Looking at the car when I picked it up I thought it would mak a good project car. I now know what to look for and will give it a very critical eye when I go through it when the wheather permits

Paul

Gil,

Sorry to hear that you "missed it by that much".Where was it
located?

Paul,

You'll probably have that done by the Woodland meet. How
many cars does that make?

In 1980, I missed a 59 XK150 drophead coupe for $4500 by just a few minutes. It was an Oregon car, rust free, Old English White with red leather.
