Bought my 70 BGT in June, but got sidetracked w/ home improvements projects.....so started the tear down in late Sept. The general conditiion of the car is great and the engine was rebuilt 15K miles ago back in 1995!! Runs great but the engine bay was horiffic and the hydraulics were suffering from sitting for so long. Rebuilt the brakes, slave & cutch MC, replaced the TO bearing & the transmission. Repalced all the flex lines on the car & detailed the engine bay. Fixed the engine oil leaks and repainted the engine. Again was "sidetracked" for most of October so the race was on to beat the weather as my garage is not heated. Finished last weekend and took it for a spin. Some minor things to sort out, but nothing major. Got done just in time as we're in the middle of a major cold sanp in PA. Certainly makes you appreciate the GT and some warm MG drives in winter. Still need to polish & rebuild the carbs in the spring and some other misc stuff, but it's a nice driver.
