Just how bad do you want one of these

That is a pretty car. Wonder if they'll ever actually make it, and if it would look at all like that. Small startup car companies seem to be sprouting out there now, but few can make a real go of it. Almost none of those cars makes it here. Sure is pretty to look at, though.

I would be really hard pressed not to have one of those, I mean really hard pressed.

I've seen one of those Pontiacs in person, and it's a really pretty car. The didn't plan very well for a front plate (required in Utah), but that aside, sure is nice looking.

I've driven one of the Solstices - it definitely is a Miata beater!

I think the difference is substantial. The Healey looks far more classy and much sexier. The solstice looks like it was inbred too much.

Only that Healey will do. That is a real class act.

Well...

My point is that under the skin it's the same car.

The Healy concept is durn nice looking, but it's hardly a Healy if all they have done is press some new panels for a Pontiac.

Just my take on it. I am pretty disappointed that after all the hype over the "New Healy" what they give us is a freakin' Chevy. Pretty cheesy in my opinion.

Still, I agree with you, Jacks, that it is one fine looking hunk of cheese.

I do not think the new healey is going to be a solstice rebadge. It is just a coincidence.

They sure do look similar, but the Healey definatly has more classic lines. I too have driven a '05 Solstice. Real fun to drive, but a bit under powered. I've heard they're going to put a bigger engine in next year? Anyway, I wonder if the Healey would have the same drivetrain.

Look at the two pictures more closely. I am willing to bet US dollars that Healy is a rebadge.

I agree that they look like the same car, but I have seen nothing official from HFI automative that leads me to believve that the car in the picture is the healey prototype. (unless I missed something)

You mean it's a phoney? I hope so. I really don't like the idea of a Chevy wearing a Healy badge.

but how many people have put chevy engines in AH cars? that is the question. both look good, but I would rather have the saturn sky, it looks more agressive than the solstice, even though it is the same car. but that tempest looks nice, almost like it was designed by that knucklehead who draws up all the latest BMWs, but better, than a Z4. make mine a tempest, I'm all about the triangle windows on the doors.

The new Healey is a project from a start up who bought the rights from the Healey estate. Pontiac is a different car company. The one pic posted seems as if someone more "photoshoped" a AH badge over a Soltice.

Orders are taken now for what apears to be a pipe dream at the moment. Look at these pic's:

Could be a pretty nice scam...get all those deposits & disappear!

Tim Fenna is the guy behind frontline spridget. I hope the Healey clan has been very selective about lending the name to someone that will produce a serious car and not just try to rip off the name.
