Made in Mexico used standard sunburst Strat. I've been wanting one for years. I can't see putting money into my acoustic to get it fixed. It'll be here in a few days.....and I still cant play for crap...

Kinda cool buying a strat on the 4th...even though it's Mexican made...cause it if was made here...it probabaly would still be.:highly_amused:

nice purchase Billy, I have a 20 year old Squire Strat myself....

You can never go wrong with a guitar. Had a Mexican Jazz Bass years ago, was a decent instrument for the money. Hope it turns out well for you.

Had me wondering for a short! I thought you meant one of these! :highly_amused: PJ

Stradaviarius

Heading to the beach today for a week with the kids and grand kids. I just packed the acoustic Yamaha in the trunk.
Also have beer.
The goal is to get all the lads well-oiled and we can get a "choir" going.:highly_amused:

Nice Strat! I never really was able to use them for some reason.
I have a cheap Ibanez that looks sort of like a Strat.....I should pick it up again and give it a go.

Feels like a good time to remind the masses that there is a BCF group dedicated to All guitar related subjects. We've got 5 members and welcome more. (look for "groups" under "community" at the top of this page)

You can find things like this video posted there:

Nice Billy! For some reason I'm like Nial, I play acoustic. I have an electric, but I just never did much with it. I guess it's the type of music I play. I visited my good friend earlier this week, and finally got the lyrics to a few of campfire classics he wrote years ago. I'm thrilled! but now I'll be the one that always gets requests for "Little Bitty Fat Girl"
He's one heck of an artist too! I need to upload a few of the pics I took to share. You'd appreciate them.
Here's hoping you play the frets right offa that new Strat!

Ben, Niall, check out the silent guitar. Coolest looking thing I've ever seen, gonna get one once I learn how to play good enough. The idea was I needed something quiet I could play but still hold some resale value if I quit again or needed to sell for something else. I wanted a Godin exit22 but was having trouble finding one in my price range. Resale would be more difficult too. Guitar center had Chinese strata on sale for $79 but I didn't want to get discouraged by trying to play something made from an old pallet.

speaking of which, gonna try to make one after seeing the silent guitar. I'd include a link but I'm not that good with my phone yet.
