Spitfire Junkyard Find, Spitfire 1500 I think

Greetings All,

Today, while at my local junkyard, I came across a frame and running gear of what I think is a 1500 Spitfire. From the pics it looks like it has and OD transmission. I was hoping that someone could let me know if what I am looking at is a spitfire.

Also, might it be worth it to pull the transmission?

I can't help with what it is, but I'd nab that OD. Just the angle drive for the speedo cable is likely worth what they'll charge you for the whole gearbox.

Get a screwdriver in the shifter hole and pry it into neutral, if the output shaft can move at all, and the price is less than a 150 bucks, grab it.

sure looks spitfireish to me.

Grab the trans, drive shaft, and maybe even the diff... Heck, may as well grab the suspension bits too...
