Some of you have read about the problems I encountered with my engine sitting too high after reinstalling in my 60 BT7. I have wondered on another thread on this forum about different potential causes and members of the list have helpfully commented. While I have not solved the issue yet, only because I won't be able to check things until I reunite the shroud/bonnet with the frame later this week, I have to report a call I received a little while ago that greatly impressed me.

Martin Jansen of Jule Enterprises called me because he had heard that I was having a problem. He ran through several possibilities with me on the phone and went out to his garage to take some measurements for me. How many vendors do that on a Sunday morning!! Perhaps I should have started with him first, but frankly I believed that I had a problem that would be properly attributed to something other than the frame. I only began to doubt the frame dimensions after I couldn't figure anything else out.

I still don't have all of this resolved, but I have to say I was again very impressed with Martin's responsiveness - even when in this case it was not solicited.

I will keep the forum AND Martin posted on progress. He insisted that I call him next Friday when he returns from Conclave to let him know how I came out.
