Ah, 'tis only a baby! He wants to play.........

The problem is, he wants to play with his lunch!

Twenty four years ago when I was doing site surveys up on Baffin Island for the North Warning radars, flying around in a Bell Jet helicopter, we would see these fellas way way way out on chunks of floating ice doing their thing fishing - literally 10-15 miles or more from shore sometimes. Amazing swimmers Polar Bears!

I've surveyed for a lot less. I could put up with a little chasing for $500 bucks an hour.

I dunno, $500 an hour seems like it would bearly cover the expenses of the equipment to deal with the cold, the temps can get really grizzly ya know!

Only with a company supplied AR with a .50 Beowolf upper.

And, what was the dude taking the pictures of this situation doing all that time?

...wettin' hisself laughin' I'll wager...

I was going to say laughing his backside off, but Doc beat me to it....! Therein scaring the poor bear who thus wanted to be protected by the man he was scrambling after!

Dunno 'bout the Kodiak moment, but 'tis better than being bi-polar!

I suppose getting in one of the two vehicles the guy was running around and driving off never entered the surveyor's mind.

Bi-polar and polarized.....you guys are GOOD!

don't forget "Kodiak"

One polar bear says to the other: I love those chewy snack foods they keep sending us, but just once couldn't they skip the tin can? Not like we're at a loss of cold storage.

We have those in my place, but they're brown (and are called "Black Bears".....go figure).

This is "junior" taken from my front lawn. His Mom is about twice his size. They're actually pretty docile, but we never get close to them anyway..... just in case....
