Jet Hot Coatings

Anyone have experience w/ jet hot coatings to reduce ubderhood engine temps? I'm looking for anything to help cooling my 2500M.

I had my headers done on my Seven and I am sure it is cooler in the cockpit foot well but have not done any scientific proof of that. If it is cooler there it has to be cooler in engine compartment also.

Thanks for the feedback Bruce. Who did your coating? Are you pleased w/ the finish?

Very pleased. It was done through Exoticars in Frenchtown, NJ. I believe there are many shops who do this around the US. If I recall there was something about either having the inside done or not done. Can't remember now though.

I sent my headers to JetHot, believe it was Texas. Took about three weeks before they were back in my hands, but I am in Hawaii.

Caution on tubing wrap. It will trap moisture, which leads to rust and corrosion. Okay for a track car where you'll be rewrapping after every meet. But I would not recommend them for a street vehicle.

And on your coolant system performance query.

Look Up evans cooling, Stuartcooling systms and Arrowheadradiators .. All in google how to increase automotive cooling system performance...

Think you will find some good info.
