Jet Hot ceramic exhaust coating

I had my headers coated (sounds like a personal problem doesn't it?) and today in the mail I received a $25 gift certificate from the company to pass along to someone who might want to have their exhaust manifold, headers or what have you jet-hot coated. So, first come-first served. I would be happy to pass the certificate along to someone on the list to apply to their purchase. Just give me your mailing address.

Jet Hot is highly recommended.

A happy customer

What did ypu pay for the coating and what was the turn-around time?

I have been thinking about the sterling or the blue coating.
I wonder and hope that the 1300 degree works just fine.

I've had my MGB and BJ8 exhaust manifolds both ceramic coated. About $100 for each. The MGB's been going for five years, and looks like it did the first day. Expensive, but worth it.

I paid a little more for my headers than Cutlass. Probably because they are bigger than the stock exhaust manifold. Turnaround was quick, about a weekish door-to-door. I had the sterling finish put on and am quite happy with it. The black looks nice also IMHO. Here is a shot of the sterling finish.

That does look great. It's billed as near-chrome in appearance. It's a more satin finish. I've seen how they get it to look that way. It's placed in a vibratory machine for hours with either ceramic or plastic beads, which polish the originally dull finish. Looks great.

Wow!

I could sleep in that engine bay.....lots of nice shiney things!

I think I paid about $220. I had the sterling coating applied to long branch stainless steel headers. The look is like Greg's. I am pleased with initial appearance and everybody says that it holds up well. Took about 10 days.

Just another question..I received the headers from Dennis Welch but they did not come with a gasket, I take it that the stock gasket will work?

The stock head-to-exhaust gasket will work. One other note: you should test fit your headers to see if they line up before you get them coated. I had to do some slight mods to get mine to fit. I think Dave Russell had to heat and bend one of the primary tubes also. Both were from Denis.
