Nial's -

Nice photos, they really show the diverse makes you have racing on the east coast. Michael and you appear to have had a great weekend of racing. I'm at GRL's Sonoma Historic Motorsports Festival right now at Sears Point, https://www.generalracing.com/ It was dry for the practice runs Thurs. & Fri., but
todays qualifying was in heavy rain and wind which left the track undrivable for most of the California racers. I buttoned up the big Healey and went to work. Here's our pits before it was under water.

That was a fun weekend--except for one session we had good weather despite dire predictions. Nial, wonderful videos and I do have to laugh when I watch how little relationship there sometimes seems to be between the direction of my car and the angle of my front wheels. BTW this was my first time back to "The Scene of the Crime" where I crashed the MK IV last November at the Turkey Bowl and fortunately I was able to put it out of my mind.

Doug:
Your setup with canopy and trailer reminds me of Michael's. As Michael said, we had heavy rain at the end or our event too. After Michael had moved the Elva into the trailer, there was a sudden flash flood and about 6" of water around his trailer (by then, I was in my van and just rolling out). But most of the weekend was dry or just a bit damp.
We do have a pretty diverse field of cars: at this event we had two Dodge Darts, a Falcon, a Corvair along with a Peerless and a Pinto.

Michael:
It was hoot following you. All these old-style, live-axle cars seem to respond well to "throwing" into a corner (with front wheels pointed any-which way). The Sprite is the same way and it's great fun.
I had my own little "crime" at this event and elected to avoid the enduro so I could sort things out in my head. I'll write you a note about it.

Nial- the bloke in the B that spun in front of you was having a good laugh showing your video to his friends today at the Original British Car Day event at Lilypons, MD. He mentioned, more than once, how much he appreciates your taking and posting. FWIW

To put a face on things here's Nial and me (L/R) at the Jefferson.
Why are these guys smiling?

You're having fun at a vintage race.

If you were not smiling, something would be terribly wrong!
