Has anyone heard from Jaybird? I know they were having terrible storms in the St Louis area and since we've not seen here here I'm a little worried that she's ok.

Basil

No posts in over 24 hrs. Hmm.

I heard from her on Thursday afternoon when she sent me some storm Pics. She posted yesterday morning at MGE but nothing since.
With her cable company, though.. I think you sneeze and it goes out.

She had power but a brother or sister didn't & they were staying with her.

She and family/cars are OK. She sheltered her sister for a day or two (a LOT of the St.Louis area was out of power for a while.)

Her property suffered no major damage...all is OK with Janel as far as i can report.

Thanks for the update Rick, that's good to hear. Hope she gets her power/internet back soon.

Basil

Don't look now, but I just saw her LURKING here!! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Ha, both cars running well so she doesn't want to talk to us about, dismanteling, cleaning, scrubing, assembleing or what ever.

Hows your garden doing Janel?

I'm here. Was on vacation all last week, at Hoff Beach (Chuck's sister's pool) Came home hot, tan and tired (that flipping over every 30 minutes and sitting up to drink a beverage is exhausting work)

After Terri & JT got their power restored on Friday morning, another big storm hit noon Friday, blew the power out for a ton of people that were lucky the first time, including my son and his wife.

We, on the otherhand, just hung out in the pool all week.

There are still 233,000 outages affecting 2.4 million people in the metro area (as of 11am today) - today is day 5.

And I'm working on finding a project for Chuck...or finding him a job.

Wednesday's storm wiped out my squash and zucchini, everything else is fine. 5.3" of rain Wed. in about an hour, another 1 1/2-2" on Friday.

And the only thing I worried about while we were safe from the storm (20 miles from home) was one of these four 60 foot pinoaks crashing through the garage onto Binabox. We had Emma and our dog at Chuck's sister's house with us.

I figured I'd just made you angry & you weren't gonna post for a bit until you cooled down enough not to violate Basil's "no profanity" rule....but am glad ya'll made it through with no damage....& you can always go to Farmer's Market to get fresh veggies!

Way to go. Glad all ok.

You always push my buttons Tony, but rarely enough to keep me away. Besides, Basil's profanity rule only applies to what I might type, not what I think or say outloud!

Just very busy here and since both cars are running perfectly (my GOD Emma is running superbly) - not much to do. Until we start the 'Binabox list' and the 'Emma list' (which is going to include a paint job as soon as I save up some money for one!)
