Not a happy bunny!!!

The B is in for a service and some remedial work on the paint so I've been using the C this last week or so, over the week it has been running rougher and rougher, it's felt like it's running lean and yet it's going through petrol like no tomorrow.

Well tonight for the first time ever the old girl has totally disgraced herself, put some petrol in her (despite only having done 200 miles to this point she's still nearly empty) get back in get round the corner the mix leans right out and she stops dead but with the pump still ticking furiously, I guess it's a busted diaphragm as there is clearly no petrol getting through that I can see or smell absolute pain and why the heck do these things always happen in the middle of the night?

Oh yes, newish SU pump with electronic points, no pressure regulator and newish filter F**k!!!

regards

Welcome to my world Tom. Knock wood, Emma's running superbly! Start with the fuel pump!

See, Jaynel remembers what we told her on about page 2 or 3, maybe 4.....hehehehehe

Yup! Faith, you must have, old Yoda.

Check the fuel lines between the tank and pump. Even a microscopic crack can cause the fuel pump to run like that. Fuel hose is so cheap that I would replace it regardless of how new or old it is.

Also, if you ran it that dry then you may have sucked some grunge from the bottom of the tank into the tank's filter screen.
